ELEGANTLY STATED OR INARTICULATE

ACTUALLY......  I really think Mitt Romney is pushing the envelop on this.  This 47% thing should really tell the tale of disaster.  It's unbelievable that a candidate for president of the United States would go behind closed doors and say things that he wouldn't say on the campaign trail. It just accentuates his feeling that he is superior and that he is out of touch to mainstream Americans.  He's being sneaky, indigenous, insincere and arrogant! He has called almost half of Americans that are dependent on government for their well being moochers, and that he is "not concerned about that because they are lazy and will never change".  Romney said "I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives".  He said "that the 47% who pay no income tax, are victims and feel entitled to a lot of federal benefits".  That is outrageously insulting!

Let's take a look at some of these 47%ers.  What about students who need to have government aid to attend a community college? What about waitresses and buss-boys, janitors that don't earn enough to pay taxes?  What about the Active duty military in combat zones, and Iraq war veterans who go to the VA?  What about retired citizens who have Medicare and live on their Social Security, which they have earned through decades of working and paying taxes? I could go on and on with examples - these Americans are self sufficient and independent, not free-loaders.

The 47% issue has been compared to Obama's 2008 comment about working class people  "clinging to guns or religion".  If you're a church-going supporter of gun control, you could take exception to "God" and "guns".  But Obama was right:  most of Obama's observation was compassionate toward blue-collar American's who feel betrayed by government.  Obama's point was to reach out to, not write off, his fellow Americans.  What Romney got wrong is: among wealthy nations it's difficult to find one where people work harder than the United States.  The donors at the Boca Raton fundraiser were made possible by the strong efforts of proud, self-sufficient people, including many in the negative 47%.

Just as a reminder, you may want to read again what our infamous Republican candidate for President had to say at a fundraiser.  Watch you're blood pressure when you read this.

"There are 47% of the people who will vote for the president no matter what.  There are 47% who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.  That That's an entitlement.  And the government should give it to them.  And they will vote for this president no matter what....These are the people who pay no income tax.  My job is not to worry about those people.  I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

MITT ROMNEY SAID THIS WAS NOT "ELEGANTLY STATED"....... PAUL RYAN SAID IT WAS "INARTICULATE"....... WHAT DO YOU THINK???

LET ME INTRODUCE THE REAL - MITT ROMNEY

ACTUALLY...This is the man that is the Republican candidate for President. The man with extreme social agendas; the man that will demolish Medicare; make education more difficult for our young people to afford;  repeal the Affordable Care Act and all it's benefits for women, "get-rid" of Planned Parenthood, and who will reduce taxes on the wealthy while increasing taxes for the middle-class (to the tune of an additional $6,000 per year).

I'm asking you to read these issues and then see if you can honestly, with no hesitation, vote for Mitt Romney for President of the United States.

First of all, he has an aversion to being completely honest, and seems to feel hiding behind his past is a better option than full disclosure.  And, because he plays by his own rules has decided that he won't release past tax returns.

He invests his riches in foreign accounts insisting that he has received no special tax savings from doing so.  Romney owned a shell corporation before it was transferred  to his wife as a blind trust. According to the Bermuda government "non-resident investors can buy, sell shares or fund units, make bank deposits, etc., without the fear of taxation of any kind.  Specialized local exempt companies and trusts are available for those who wish to use Bermuda for asset protection or for holding international assets, and are equally free of taxation". He is, in my opinion, certainly more than lacking in ethics.

Mitt Romney is consistent in one thing.  He lies about his past business experience i.e. Bain Capital; accomplishments as Governor of Massachusetts; and he did not save the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games - the American taxpayers did.

The SEC has forms that show he didn't leave Bain Capital when he said he did.  It's hard to argue with the SEC, but give him credit, he tried.  When indeed did he really leave Bain Capital and all the responsibilities that went with his office as CEO?

Romney is very vague about everything he is asked, and sometimes doesn't even answer.  He has a habit of changing the subject and often ignores the question.  He is famous for flip-floping on issues - of course he says he doesn't flip-flop, he "evolves".  He is known by some as "multiple choice Mitt".

He is now facing scrutiny as he courts veterans and makes his case to those who have fought in Iran and Afghanistan, while asking for their vote as commander-in-chief.  In 1994 he told the Boston Herald, "I was not planning on signing up for the military.  It was not my desire to go off and serve in Vietnam, nor did I take any actions to remove myself from the pool of young men who were eligible for the draft"  But according to the Selective Service records he received four draft deferments....then ran off to France.

THIS IS THE MITT ROMNEY THAT YOU PERHAPS HAVE NOT KNOWN
FOOD FOR THOUGHT

MITT'S PROPOSED ENERGY PLAN

ACTUALLY..... Governor Romney has unveiled his latest Energy Plan.  He got really wordy with this, so I will summarize the high points, as I see them.    I must give credit to the Washington Post for most of this information, but I believe it's worthy of sharing.  First of all Romney wants North America to have energy independence by 2020.  He says "North America is the fastest growing oil and gas producing region in the world".  There are some issues here that need to be accomplished before proceeding.

First: the United States will need to open up more federal lands and waters to oil and gas drilling.
Second: The federal government will have to give states more power to approve permits to speed up the rate of drilling.  Romney is promising "North American energy independence", not U.S. energy independence. There are many different views regarding oil and energy in his plan, therefore, I am giving you the five big points:

1.  The United States is already shrinking it imports on oil and gas.  It's unclear how much of Romney's plan would accelerate the process.  (In other's words, he has no idea and he's not saying)
2.  Energy independence will require more than just drilling - it will also depend on fuel economy - standards that Romney has opposed.
3.  Energy independence can't protect the U.S. from high oil prices
4.  More drilling could create jobs, however Romney's claims are probably false in that area.
5.  Romney's plan give no thoughts to other concerns, particularly global warming.  (That's interesting because he has said he doesn't believe in global warming).

The regulation question is certainly relevant when it comes to natural-gas fracking..  Public concern over fracking could prove a problem to gas development unless careful regulations are put in place. (How's he going to do that?) Romney's plan has a line about how he would "strengthen environmental protection" and not destroy jobs, paralyze industry or block the use of resources like coal.

Main details are not yet announced, however, President Obama is criticizing Romney's energy plan.  The President is claiming that Romney is defending billions in oil subsidies instead of using oil more effeciently or developing other alternatives.  According to ABC News, President Obama feels that we will never reach energy independence by turning our backs on homegrown renewal energy and better auto mileage. "Under the Obama administration, America has produced the most natural gas ever, the most oil in 14 years and is on track to double the electricity production by renewable sources like wind and sun."

Perhaps you should go back to the drawing board Mitt.  Looks like this energy thing in covered.
