ACTUALLY......ever see a fish out of water? Take a look at Mitt Romney - they flip and then they flop, not knowing really what to do. Here are only a few occasions where Romney has done a 'fish thing'.
FLIP - Romney said "illegal immigrants should have a chance at citizenship".
Flop - Then, "secure the border, employment verification and no special pathway to citizenship"
FLIP - Romney refused to take a position on Bush's 10 year tax cut.
FLOP - "McCain opposed the tax cuts, Romney noted 'I support them' the former Governor said"
FLIP - "Romney said he will stake stands that put him at odds with ultra conservative groups, and committed his support for the assault rifle ban and the Brady control law"
FLOP - "I'm after the NRA's endorsement, I'm not sure they'll give it to me, but I hope they do. I joined because if I'm going to ask for their endorsement, they're going to ask for mine".
FLIP - "I have a gun of my own. I go hunting myself. I'm a member of the NRA and believe in the right to bear arms".
FLOP - "Asked by reports at a gun show whether he personally owned a gun, Romney said he did not." He borrows one from his son.
Don't ask don't tell? Don't ask Mitt Romney
FLIP - "the first of a number of steps that will automatically lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military".
FLOP - "He said it was a silly phrase that didn't make a lot of sense however the last 10 year have convinced him that the policy is working and there is no harm in it"
FLIP - When a 2002 Constitutional Amendment was proposed to ban same-sex marriage, Romney opposed it.
FLOP - Romney will now join petition backers in a State House event to urge the Legislature to pass the Protection of Marriage Amendment."
FLIP - Mitt Romney broke with GOP tradition and refused to sign the Americans for Tax Reform, to oppose and veto all efforts to increase taxes.
FLOP - Almost 5 years after he refused to sign a 'no new taxes' pledge, Mitt Romney did just that.
There's a lot more flipping and flopping I could tell you about - but I think by now you've got the picture.

IMMIGRATION
ACTUALLY, this is an extremely volatile subject. Please consider what I write as only my opinion.
I have a deep feeling for all those who want to escape from living in unacceptable poverty and unimaginable poor living conditions. Those of you who have visited the Mexican border cities couldn't help but come away disgusted at the conditions. The best those individuals could hope for is to somehow find a better place to live. There are Hispanics that have saved their hard earned money for years only to give it to dishonest criminals in order to cross the Rio Grande, the conditions are deplorable and some loosing their life in doing so. Except for the very few, all they want is to live in clean surroundings, go to school and find a job to support their families. Don't misunderstand, I agree that crossing a state border illegally is just that "illegal". I do however believe that there are appropriate and suitable ways to handle these immigrants.
- Arizona is trying to pass legislation that "requires local police officials to check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws if 'reasonable suspicion' exists that the person is in the U.S. illegally.
- Provision authorizing police to arrest immigrants without warrant where 'probably cause' exists that they committed any public offense making them removable from the country.
- A section making it a state crime for 'unauthorized immigrants' to fail to carry registration papers and other government identification.
- A ban on those not authorized for employment in the U.S. to apply, solicit or preform work. That would include immigrants sanding in a parking lot who 'gesture or nod' their willingness to be employed."
The state of Arizona has gone too far - they have no authority to require police to check immigration status.
Now, the enormous question - what do we do with them after they arrive on U.S. soil. The state-side demographics are changing rapidly. The Hispanic population is growing, while the Caucasian population is shrinking. There have been several suggestions, from one of our Republican Presidential nominees.
Self Deportation because immigrants can find better work by going home (Oh my, what an idea that was).
The next step is to stand in line, but where the line is he didn't say, and should they ever reach the front of the line, guess what? They can come to the U.S. No credit for going to school, being here with family or serving in the Military.
On the other hand, we have a President with an option that would be "good for our economy, good for our security, good for our nation" and certainly good for the young people who want to come to the U.S. It's called the DREAM ACT. " It only applies to young people who are already in the U.S. who were brought here as children". Look it up and read for yourself what a fantastic proposal this is.
