WHIPLASH...........

ACTUALLY....... Mitt Romney proceeded to offensively attack the dignity, offend and insult 47% of the American people, which includes not just the poor but also working-class families, members of the military and the elderly. He said  "it wasn't his job to worry about those people".  Well, that disgusting statement didn't do much for him, so.... last Sunday night he told Scott Pelley, on 60 Minutes, that he cares about 100% of the people.  He said he was in this race for the poor and the middle class. That was not just a flip-flop, it was a backwards double-sumersault whiplash!!

The only 100% that Governor Romney cares about are himself and his wealthy cronies.  For instance:
  •  Romney wants to cut service personnel, their pay, their health care and their pensions
  •  Romney wants to privatize the United States Post Office
  •  He wants to cut back on fire fighters and police officers
  •  The EPA - a little cut back there.  Do you think Romney cares if we have clean air, or clean water
  •  He plans to privatize Social Security-you can put a little money aside each month for your retirement
  •  Romney would "get rid of" Medicare.  He'd issue vouchers and you can buy your own health care
  •  He would end FEMA.  Cantor says fine, but only after he's sure it provides aid to his territory first.
  •  Romney will privatize schools.  If he closes public schools and have children go to private schools with vouchers, this would eliminate union teachers.  The private schools could choose whatever they want for tuition or deny students whom they consider unfit to go to their schools.  The private schools do not have to accept the public school children.
  •  Romney would do away with the hiring of teachers with 'highly qualified certification' requirements and block grants for money for states that adapt policies focused on improving teacher effectiveness.
  •  Romney says that classroom size doesn't matter to students, and doesn't impact educational outcomes.  After all his elite schools had classrooms of 14 students, Romney's children had just 11
  • He supports low interest rates on student loans on a temporary basis.  His best advice for students trying to figure out how to afford college "shop around, borrow money from your parents".
  • Planned Parenthood, he'll git rid of that, never mind the 3 million patients that depended on that last year
  • Taxes - the rich get richer and the poor get poorer
  • Obamacare - he'd repeal most of that on his first day in office

HERE WE GO AGAIN WITH TAX CUTS

ACTUALLY.......Senator Jon Kyl from Arizona has said "that the president’s usage of the phrase “middle class” is “misguided and wrong and even dangerous.”  He called for an end to what he referred to as rhetoric about "classes".  Furthermore he had the audacity to bombard President Obama about “incessantly” talking about class, “particularly the middle-class”.  The Arizona sun has really gotten to that man.

President Obama is trying to protect the middle-class, which by the way is more than just an income bracket.  He is, of course, comparing the American people who are financially not as well off as the wealthy executive's of large corporations or (pardon the expression) private equity owners.  Senator Kyl goes on to say that America doesn’t have “a true class-based society,” since we don’t have an “ingrained class system” or “noble bloodlines.” I think that's a bunch of crap! And, how does he know that someone in the middle-class doesn't have "noble bloodlines"?

What the President wants for our 'middle-class' is a secure job, a safe and stable home, access to affordable health care, retirement security, time off for vacation.  He also wants to have opportunities for families to save for the future and the ability to provide a good education, including a college education, for the children. How else are we to build a strong nation that our children and grand children can be proud of?

President Obama has said repeatedly that his greatest goal is to build our economy from the bottom up, giving the opportunity for less fortunate people that struggle from day to day, to enter the middle-class and enjoy a better standard of living.  We have become a nation so polarized that there is the very wealthy ....... and then everyone else.  Does that sound fair and reasonable?  President Obama has recently called on Congress to extend tax cuts for families earning less than $250,000 a year while allowing taxes to raise for households making more.

Romney's plan will  raise taxes on the bottom 95% of the people.  The average middle-class family with children will see a tax increase of more than $2,000.00.  For everyone making less than $200,000, the tax increase averages more than $500.00 per person.  His plan includes a large tax cut for only the wealthiest 5% of Americans.  He's proposing a new $247,000 tax cut for the wealthiest 0.1% - on top of the Bush tax cuts, and another $87,000 tax cut for every millionaire - on top of the Bush tax cuts.  I don't know about you, but this just boggles my mind.  It's hard to understand and even harder to live with.

Oh! And by the way, what the hell is an "ingrained class system".  For crying out loud Senator, GET REAL!!  What planet are you from anyway?

POOR ANN'S CONUMDRUM

ACTUALLY.......Ann Romney doesn't think that the Democrats are playing nice with her hubby.  Last year when an exasperated and frustrated DNC employee made an innocent remark with regard to forming their campaign and said, unless things change he would just have to "kill Romney", she took the comment entirely out of context and got her feelings hurt. (Perhaps a PMS moment?)  Supporting her husband in regard to that silly statement, she told CBS news in an interview that "Mitt Romney is the only one that can turn this country around and the only one that can bring hope back to this country.....which is what he ran on last time".  Well, obviously that plan didn't work in 2004 because Sen.McCain beat him, and it won't work now!! Ann believes that it's all a part of a plan to portray her husband as inapproachable and unqualified for the position that he hopes to achieve.  Ann is also giving a lot of thought to who might be his running mate.  (Is that really her job?) "It's going to take someone that Mitt will enjoy, with the same personality type that will enjoy spending time with them".  That's really an ambitious thought!  Spend time with Romney and his wife.........ugh!!

Romney has way too many problems to mention here. However, among those are his inconsistency with his ideas and statements (or should I say wishy-washy), he's unprincipled, phony, as well as greedy and will do anything to make the almighty dollar for himself (as evidenced by his tenure at Bain Capital)  Oh!  I don't want to forget the fact that he's a job-killer! Have you ever seen him actually visit with any of those people in the small town restaurant's or drug stores he calls a campaign stop?  No, he doesn't sincerely care about the middle class people that he's trying to entice into a vote in November.

How can a man with a $250 Million net worth (with possibly more hidden offshore) possibly communicate honestly with small town, middle class citizens.  I have a "news flash" for you...........HE CAN'T.  Ann Romney said "they don't get him at all".

Umm, got news for you Ann, I "get him" and so do a lot of other people he's trying to impress.

JOB CREATION

ACTUALLY....The President is taking aggressive steps to put Americans back to work.  Before the economic crises middle class security was slipping away, wages were at a standstill and health care costs were rising.  We've added back more than 4.2 million private sector jobs and seen 26 straight weeks of job growth. Way to go Mr. President!!!

There is nothing causing more pain for middle class Americans than being out of work.  We are facing a real sense of urgency over joblessness because from there it's a downward spiral to not being able to pay your home mortgage, putting enough food on the table, having proper health care and in some parts of the country heating your home.   OMG! That sounds like too much to handle! Yet there are millions of Americans facing this crises.  On top of all this, we have Gov. Mitt Romney sticking his wealthy nose in things by sucking the life out of companies across the U.S. and often loading them down with more debt.  He slashes pensions, health care benefits, and causes workers to loose their jobs.  But not to worry about Gov.Romney because he makes a healthy profit for himself and his partners by outsourcing jobs and bankrupting companies.  I'm sure he's quite proud of himself and he undoubtedly added a bit more lavishness to his La Jolla split level beach house.

Manufacturing has added 489,00 jobs since 2010 and plants and equipment business can expense 100% of their investment under a proposed tax extension.  The President also included a proposed 20% income tax credit on expenses for companies moving their operations back to the U.S.  Quickly after taking office the President passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  This cuts taxes for small businesses and 95% of working families.  This Act also included emergency funding for about 300,000 educator jobs and at least 4,600 law enforcement positions, as well as investments in the clean energy sector that supported over 200,000 jobs through 2010.  Terrific!!!

In the last couple of weeks, President Obama released his administrations plan to boost job creation.  His straight forward, emphatic words were "This is a bill that Congress needs to pass".  "No games.  No politics. No delays".  Pretty strong words wouldn't you say?  His administration announced a series of tax policy changes that officials say will pay for the costs of the Presidents job creation plan.  The provisions, announced by the Office of Management and Budget would raise a projected $467 billion over a 10 year period.  The American Job Act, outlined by the President, would cost an estimated $447 billion.

Oh! Let's not forget that Chrysler, GM and Ford are profitable for the first time in years and are adding  jobs and facilities across the country. Mitt Romney said "let Detroit go bankrupt".  WOW, that turned out to be not such a good idea, huh?  Gov. Romney is not so much about job creation as he is about profit creation.

BARACK OBAMA'S CAMPAIGN GOES "FORWARD"

ACTUALLY, President Obama is off and running on his campaign for his second term in the White House.  In Ohio, several days ago, he told us that his work is "unfinished.  He told us that he still has things to do and he won't be satisfied until he accomplishes more.

The economy needs more time to recover, but great strides have been made in that direction.  According to Politico, the economy added 115,00 jobs in April, could be more but still a positive, and the unemployment rate fell to 8.1%.   Among other issues he is concerned about the middle class Americans in our country.  He believes that higher education, improved infrastructure and clean energy will strengthen the economy and help the middle class Americans find a way to climb up the ladder to greater success. The President told the crowd in Ohio that Mitt Romney would set back the middle class by supporting deep cuts in Federal spending, big tax cuts for the wealthy, and the repeal of Obamacare.  Obama is tying Romney to Republicans in Congress and believes that Romney would actually rubber-stamp the Congressional agenda that is in place.   Mitt Romney can absolutely not get that chance!  That's why President Obama is running for a second term.

The American public seem to forget that when President Obama took office he followed the Bush-Cheney mess, who spent billions of dollars on the war in Iraq chasing after "weapons of mass destruction" that was proven were not there; the housing bubble burst which left many homeowners under water or had their homes foreclosed on by big banks; and millions of jobs were lost. And don't forget the financial meltdown of 2008.  Just time in for Obama's first year as President.

Now American soldiers are being brought back from Iraq.  The American auto industry is recovering, after  Mitt Romney said "Let Detroit go broke".  Osama bin Laden is dead and no longer a threat to America.  The President has pledged that the war in Afghanistan will be over by 2014.

We can't stop now - President Obama has to finish his campaign promises.
