PRESIDENT OBAMA'S CLEAN UP

ACTUALLY, I am more than really distressed with the far right's constantly talking about President Obama and his inability to lead.  He's been on clean-up duty for most of his time in office. Has it been that long ago that Bush-Cheney thoroughly screwed up this country?

They spent probably $10 to $100 billion on the war in Iraq looking for the wrong guy and all the "weapons of mass destruction" that never materialized.

Let's not forget they threw away the "good faith and credit of the United States of America" by giving back hundreds of millions of dollars to taxpayers in tax credits which were in the form of checks.  Billions of those dollars were to go to the people of America to form new businesses and jobs.  The real truth?  The wealthier you are, the more you hang on to what you have.  No sharing there!

Of course, we certainly can't forget about the housing bubble that burst during the Bush-Cheney era.  And, then there was the financial meltdown in October 2008.  Their timing was good there  -  they were escorted out of the White House.  Our country was within close proximity of another depression.  It only figures that it would take years to clean up the eight years of disaster left by that administration.

President Obama has had to concentrate his time and energy trying to manage the "wrong war, in the wrong place, at the wrong time" in Iraq.  He's dealt with the war in Afghanistan, tracked down and killed Osama bin Laden and is starting to bring home our soldiers - Bush/Cheney couldn't get that done after 9/11.

When the President took office in 2009 he began an outstanding effort to get the economy back on track, as well as getting unemployed Americans back to work and fix our faulty health care system.

The reaction of the far right?  Do nothing.  Congress?  Sure, send them a bill so they can demolish it.  Ron Paul wanted to get rid of FEMA.  Michelle Bachmann wanted to eliminate the Department of Education. Rick Perry thought he could mold America after Texas, Oops!  Not a good thing there.  Rick Santorum figured he was a good christian and maybe he could just pray little harder.  Newt Gingrich was really busy writing books, etc.  If Mitt Romney wasn't expanding his mansion and putting an elevator in his garage, maybe he could just write a check and pay off our national debt.

Well, guess you can tell how I really feel about the state of our union at this point.  NOW, we have to rally around Barack Obama, elect him for a second term and let him finish what he wants to do.

To be continued..........
